Parking Restrictions - Bolebridge Street

We are urging residents, particularly blue badge holders, to be mindful of where they park their vehicle following an occurrence yesterday that led to some traffic chaos in the Town Centre.

We were called to Bolebridge Street at around 11:30 following a report that a double decker bus was unable to navigate the turn up towards the bus stops on Victoria Road due to a vehicle being parked on double-yellow lines near the bottom of the street causing an obstruction of the highway.

The vehicle in this instance was issued with a fixed penalty notice by the enforcement officers. Fortunately, we were able to locate the owner in a nearby business premises and they promptly moved the vehicle so buses could regain access.

Vehicle access is restricted along this particular stretch of Bolebridge Street with loading and unloading prohibited between 11am - 3pm. There are no exemptions for blue badge holders.
